Protein Research Reagents Anti-GAPDH Mouse Monoclonal Antibody

Tagged proteins can be detected and/or purified using highly specific antibodies to the engineered peptide, thus eliminating the need for antibodies to each individual protein. In this regard, Tagging Antibodies can be used as universal antibodies. There are several epitope tags commonly used, such as 6-histidine (6X-His), c-myc (Myc), influenza A virus haemagglutinin (HA) and glutathione-S-transferase (GST). Normalizing Antibodies are very useful to check if the same amount of protein samples are loaded onto each lane. This is especially true for quantitative comparisons by Western experiment.
