Anti-GST Tag Mouse Monoclonal Antibody
Tagged proteins can be detected and/or purified using highly specific antibodies to the engineered peptide, thus eliminating the need for antibodies to each individual protein. In this regard,Tagging Antibodies can be used as universal antibodies. There are several epitope tags commonly used, such as 6-histidine (6X-His), c-myc (Myc), influenza A virus haemagglutinin (HA) and glutathione-S-transferase (GST). Normalizing Antibodies are very useful to check if same amount of protein samples is loaded on each lane. This is especially true for quantitative comparisons by Western experiment.

- ELISA, Dot Blot, and Western Blotting (1:1000).
- Immunoprecipitation and immunostaining (1:200).
Recombianant GST protein (20ng,Lane1) and 293 cellular lysates transfected with a GST expression vector (Lane2) were probed with Anti-GST (1ug/ml). Arrow indicates GST (26kDa) and GST-fusion protein(29kDa).
