Endotoxin Removal Kit
Reduces endotoxin levels in plasmid DNA solutions. Also known as lipopolysaccharides, endotoxins are cell-membrane components of Gram-negative bacteria (such as E. coli.) which are released during the lysis step of plasmid purification. The presence of endotoxins can significantly reduce transfection efficiencies in sensitive cell lines or in vivo applications.
The Endotoxin Removal Kit extracts these toxins from problem plasmid preps. The procedure can be repeated to ensure complete removal of contaminating endotoxins. The treated plasmid DNA is suitable for transfection, injection and other endotoxin sensitive applications.
