Mycoplasma Detection Kit
The Mycoplasma PCR Detection Kit is designed to detect the presence of mycoplasma, which is a common and serious contamination problem in most molecular biology labs. Conventional techniques used to detect mycoplasma involve culturing samples on selective media, which needs at least a week to obtain results. Whereas, by performing PCR with primer sets based on a conserved 16S rRNA sequence, detection results are obtained with a few hours. As the presence of contaminant mycoplasma can be easily detected by only verifying the bands of amplified DNA fragments in electrophoresis, there is no need to prepare probes labeled with radioisotope, etc.
